• These basic science subjects are offered to BCA students in all the different programmes: i.e. Certificate, Diploma and Degree. As agriculture is an applied science, to fully comprehend it requires a solid foundation of the basic sciences. This department, therefore is to provide such a foundation.Thus, the mission of the Department of Basic Sciences is:To build a strong and solid foundation of the sciences so as to facilitate in translating the abstract sciences into the tangible agricultural sciences thereby leading to an increase in productivity and sustainability in agriculture.
